This year Asmodee-US choose to celebrate the Holiday time in a very special way. We decided to encourage and support the AAD (Athletes against drugs) by going to their annual Christmas event in Chicago.

The work of  AAD is very simple, but so hard to accomplish. Their mission is to influence national and local athletes, celebrities, and corporate leaders to educate the youth to make healthy life decisions. Their vision is to help children develop life skills for economic opportunities that will change their lives. Over 300 famous named athletes, all the superstar professionals and Olympians, have one thing in common: they form a select group of drug-free role models helping children lead productive lives. Kids listen to Athletes Against Drugs' sports celebrity partners - but simply telling kids to say no to drugs isn't enough. AAD gives the children a place to say yes. “We offer healthy alternatives, somewhere to go instead of the street, and something to be a part of instead of a gang, AAD gives kids hope.”

What role does Asmodee play in that? Each kid present has the chance to play DIXIT, Pocket Rocket and many more games in our catalog. The most important part, Santa Claus himself gave each of them a Jungle Speed for Christmas. We do not make the weight against the celebrities (and Santa Claus) that support this cause in the heart of the children, however just knowing this winter they will be able to play Jungle Speed...we can already hear their laughs, and that’s why we were there.
